Forbes: Samsung Launches First Tizen Phone And It Is A Beast

They had to release it I suppose, but my thoughts about Tizen are pretty much identical to that of Bada – and look how that ended up.

Tizen was in many respects a ‘plan B’ for Samsung, in case things went drastically wrong with the relationship with Google. But that didn’t happen. In fact, Samsung cemented a deal to make sure things will only get better between the two giants, so why the need to press on with it? Especially almost a year later than intended.

Despite the many delays and setbacks, its flagship Tizen phone has now been announced and tech journo Gordon Kelly has given his opinions above.

I’ll continue to think that it’s going to be a massive waste of time, bar its usage on Samsung’s smartwatches where it perhaps makes far more sense. In fact, Tizen might make a lot of sense for just about anything but a smartphone or tablet.

The question is, will I be proved wrong?
