So from the end of 2020, Virgin Mobile will switch all of its users over to Vodafone's network. With it comes access to 5G and unlimited data plans - but any change of network can have pros and cons for users.

Thoughts?

Might be a tough time for VM in the east if Vodafone still have the east-west network quality difference that they do now in 2021.

Something like this was rumoured when VM signed their last contract with BT/EE which meant that VM changed to their own core rather than using EEs - never thought they'd actually do it though, users wont need to change SIMs but still plenty of room for things to go wrong...have any major MVNOs successfully switched network? The only one I can think of that tried it was TalkTalk and they just gave up in the end.

They'll be waiting a long time if they're in the east of the country, what a cock up this CTIL tie-up has turned out to be for those Voda customers 🙁.
