So Apple has today announced the fifth-generation Apple Watch, and now there's an always on display (although it means 18 hours of battery, which isn't exactly stellar).

It does address the one thing that puts me off most smartwatches, namely the need to shake a wrist or press a button, but I am not sure 18 hours really cuts it even if the screen is top-notch.

I’m quite happy with my S4, I haven’t even considered getting the new one.

Lifting my wrist to see the time isn’t really a hardship.
