Vodafone has launched 5G for people who would rather do without a contract, and there’s now an unlimited data option too. Customers who already have, or intend to buy, a SIM-free 5G phone can now take advantage of 5G on PAYG at no extra charge. With a range of bundles… [Click for more]

First of all, let me say that I really like Three for everything it has done to shake up the market over the years. And when Feel at Home launched, I was one of the many customers who could save a packet when travelling abroad. But as someone fortunate enough travel… [Click for more]
I’ve certainly been rather outspoken about the limitations of Three’s Feel at Home scheme for the last year or so, but there is some good news. Next month sees the addition of 24 new destinations where you can enjoy calls, texts and data at no extra cost. These new destinations are: Belgium… [Click for more]
Whether we’re leaving the EU one day or not, it isn’t slowing the industry from stepping up the competition when it comes to European roaming. This time, it’s the turn of EE to shake things up – big time. Three kicked things off with its 3G-only, heavily throttled, Feel at Home service (or… [Click for more]
Three has unveiled brand-new Essentials plans. The cynic in me wonders if this is a sign of things to come (namely that one day the current ‘Advanced’ plans may be phased out, or made a lot more expensive), but the optimist hopes it’s just a way to offer better value… [Click for more]
From July 14th 2016 O2 is extending its O2 Travel service, which gives fixed-price daily roaming in Europe, to 30 new destinations beyond Europe. For many years the EU has been slowly reducing the cost of using your phone within the EU. From June 15th 2017, it should become no more expensive than using your phone in the UK. But this isn’t about that, but rather a look at what options you have available when roaming in… [Click for more]
On another recent trip to Sweden, I decided to again test out roaming in a video that compares the experience between EE, Vodafone and Three. This time I used the nPerf app, which does a lot more than just normal speed testing. I recently made a video suggesting I’d be using an… [Click for more]
Earlier this week, I brought up the subject of using data abroad not being like using data at home as a Three customer. I am so happy to have received many comments on my site, and on Twitter, from people who have the exact same experience. The common theme being that certain services simply… [Click for more]
It’s finally going to happen, after a number of hurdles and delays that nearly made it look like it would never happen. But, at last, the EU will soon be treated ‘as one’ for mobile phone users who live within the EU themselves. From July 2017, it will be possible to… [Click for more]
Feel at Home, the service that allows Three customers to roam in selected countries and only pay the same rates as at home, has resulted in a staggering £1.3bn in roaming charges being saved since its introduction two years ago. This equates to around £330 per customer, per year – with an… [Click for more]

Vodafone is also offering more 4G roaming, subject to coverage and local demand…. [Click for more]
