Honor Magic 7 Pro Photo Gallery from Slovenia; demonstrating AI Super Zoom and more!

The Honor Magic 7 Pro has had a major upgrade on the camera side, with the key addition being the AI Super Zoom that gets you incredible photos even at up to 100x zoom!

AI Super Zoom enhancing demonstration

Earlier this week I was flown out to Bled, Slovenia to test out the Honor Magic 7 Pro’s camera prowess – and I wasn’t disappointed.

I suspect Honor has a lot of confidence in the phone’s performance, as all of the photos shown below and in my Google Photos open gallery were taken by myself – with no post processing alterations, bar the actions taken by the phone itself to enhance the image quality.

It’s worth noting that the AI Super Zoom function included on the brand new Honor Magic 7 Pro does use generative AI at the highest zoom levels to enhance photos, and it doesn’t always work brilliantly – but you can see a large selection of examples below, alongside regular photos taken at a number of different zoom levels and in different lighting conditions.

Overall, it is a big leap in mobile image quality and the start of a new arms race in AI enhancements. Expect to see a lot more development in this field as time goes on.

I will be continuing to test the camera in the coming days and weeks, as part of a full review but you don’t need to wait for that to see what the phone can do in the camera department.

The handset I had in Slovenia was still running pre-release firmware and is due an update on or around January 24th, although most of the expected updates relate to the other AI features on the phone and not the camera, which is pretty much the final build.

As you’ll be able to see the new photos and video I take in the Google Photos album you can subscribe to, you’ll be able to see if there are any major changes. And should you have decided to buy one, please go the same gallery and add your own content to share with other Honor Magic 7 Pro fans and users.

You can learn more about the phone and its features and specifications from the official news release published for the official European launch.

The Magic 7 Pro, available in a choice of three colours, retails for £1,099 but comes with an early bird promotion with money off and free accessories included, as well as other discounts for recycling an existing phone or redeeming points on the Honor website for previous customers.

Note: The photos on this page have been uploaded to WordPress and compressed, but this won’t make a noticeable difference to the level of detail or exposures – just the file size and resolution if you want to pixel peep at 100%. Please visit the Google Photos gallery for the originals.

Just before travelling to Slovenia, I also did a test of the 100x zoom in the UK – which first showed me that the AI enhancement is pretty impressive. It may not stand up to scrutiny at 100% and looking at every minor detail, but overall it is still pretty incredible compared to what you’d expect from such a ridiculously large zoom level!
