I’ve got the new Huawei Mate 40 Pro to put to the test, and its strongest feature is the camera – so this is the first thing I’ll be testing during my limited time with the phone.

First up are night photos, taken on a trip into London to take in the Christmas lights.

All photos are taken in automatic mode, without filtering and with no tripod.
