Oppo launches three new affordable 5G phones in A-series range
Oppo is bringing 5G to more of its smartphones, and bringing prices down to match. The new A-series phones with 5G start at just £219.
The three models are the A54, A74 and A94 5G. The first two are powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G chip, while the A94 gets MediaTek’s Dimensity 800U 5G chip.
All three phones come with a 48-megapixel primary camera and 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, alongside a 2-megapixel mono and macro camera.
The A94 5G comes with an AMOLED display, while the A54 and A74 use an LCD display but with a higher 90Hz refresh rate.
The A54 5G and A74 5G each come with a larger capacity (5,000mAh) battery, whereas the A94 5G gets faster 30W fast charging for its smaller 4,310mAh cell.
Pricing ranges between £219 and £299, so choosing the right model will come down to deciding what aspects are most important to you.

Pricing and Availability
- The A54 5G (with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage) retails at £219 and comes in two colours: Fluid Black and Fantastic Purple. It is available at EE, Vodafone, O2 and Sky in Fluid Black only, and Virgin, Oppo, Carphone Warehouse and Amazon will stock both colours.
- The A74 5G (with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage) retails at £249 and comes in two colours: Fluid Black and Space Silver. It is available in Fluid Black only at Three, and both colours from Oppo and Amazon.
- The A94 5G (with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage) retails at £299 and comes in two colours: Fluid Black and Cosmo Blue. Fluid Black is available from EE and Carphone Warehouse, or both colours from Oppo and Amazon.
