- It’s on at John Lewis, Oxford Street, until 8pm on Friday 17th May, so you might still be able to get down there if you read this quickly enough!
Today was the first opportunity for people in the UK to get their hands-on with the new OnePlus 7 Pro, and even buy one before it officially goes on sale next Tuesday (21st).
Those that queued, including one particularly dedicated fan who arrived at 3pm the day before, were greeted with free food and drink, massages and other entertainment – along with the chance to get an autograph from MrWhoseTheBoss and ask him questions about the phone and OnePlus in general.
Over 150 people initially queued up before the event, held at the John Lewis Roof Garden, opened at midday, with many more arriving during the early afternoon. A lot more were expected after people finished work.
Front-of-line Nick Pereira, said: “I love OnePlus because they are very community-based. It’s all about the people and the OnePlus 7 Pro is the perfect phone for the people”.
The OnePlus 7 comes with an almost bezel-free display, with a motorised pop-up selfie camera, standard, telephoto and wide-angle cameras on the rear, and a huge 6.67-inch Quad-HD OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate – already rated A+ in the DisplayMate ratings, and also supporting HDR10+.
I’ll have my full review of the flagship 12GB/256GB model in the near future, as well as plenty of photos and video to share.
