Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 10S and Note 10 5G in UK, starting from £179 for early birds

Xiaomi has today launched two new Redmi Note 10 series handsets, which go on sale with immediate effect – and with discounts for those who order in the first three days.

Redmi Note 10S

The Redmi Note 10S is powered by a MediaTek Helio G95 SoC, with 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage.

It also comes with a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging, a 3.5mm headphone jack and stereo speakers.

The phone has a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a 13-megapixel selfie camera up front, and a 64+8+2+2MP quad-camera configuration on the rear.

According to Xiaomi, the 64-megapixel “marks a tremendous improvement from the previous generation and even smashes some flagships in terms of pixels”.

There’s also an IR-blaster thrown in for good measure too.

Colour variants include: Onyx Gray, Pebble White and Ocean Blue.

Redmi Note 10 5G

The MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC inside the Note 10 5G offers fast data connectivity, access to the emerging 700MHz 5G coverage that will soon blanket much of the UK, making it a good choice for those who want some future-proofing.

The affordable 5G phone comes with 4GB of RAM and a choice of 64GB or 128GB storage, as well as bringing a 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo sound and an IR-blaster.

There’s a 5,000mAh battery, but slower 18W USB-PD charging, while on the camera side there’s a 48+2+2MP triple camera configuration on the rear and a 8-megapixel selfie camera within the 6.5-inch 30-90Hz display.

Colour choices include: Chrome Silver, Graphite Gray, Nighttime Blue and Aurora Green.

The Redmi Note 10S will be available from Amazon and the Mi Store. The Redmi Note 10 5G will be available from Amazon, the Mi Store and other retailers – plus Three and Vodafone on contract.
