HTC’s One (M8) officially hits all retail stores today, but Phones 4u is allowing customers to get a hands-on with the Galaxy S5 in the UK from today, and until its April 11th launch.

For anyone undecided on whether to buy the HTC, it’s a perfect opportunity to see and compare both side-by-side. If only you could also see the Sony Xperia Z2 too.

Galaxy-S5-BlackIt’s also the same day that the Galaxy S5 went on sale early in south Korea, but don’t expect there to be loads of sealed phones in the stockroom to be sneakily sold to anyone that attempts to bribe the staff.

Not only won’t you be able to buy a Galaxy S5 today, but you won’t even be able to pre-order the phone, as the ability to do that doesn’t start until 00:01 on Friday. Pre-ordering can be done in store, or via the Phones 4u website.

The stores that have demonstration units are as follows:

  • Birmingham, Bullring
  • Cardiff, Queens Street
  • Essex, Thurrock Lakeside
  • Manchester, Trafford Centre
  • Newcastle, Metrocentre Gateshead
  • Glasgow, Dundee, Overgate Centre
  • Crawley, Southampton
  • London, Westfield White City
  • London, Stratford Westfield
  • London, Oxford Street

Demonstrations will be offered from both Phones 4u staff and Samsung representatives.
