OPPO announces intention to release its first 5G phone and the first 10x lossless zoom mobile camera
OPPO kicked off the Mobile World Congress events with a small event to talk up its forthcoming innovations, which included the launch of a 5G phone, and also a 10x lossless zoom with OIS.
Although not announcing any specific handsets today, the company has made it clear it will be introducing a number of innovative products in 2019, with a strong emphasis on 5G and imaging, as well as services that 5G will make more achievable, like 3D video calling, multi-player AR and VR gaming, 8K video streaming, and more.
The 10x lossless zoom technology (also showcased at last year’s MWC) includes a triple-camera structure, consisting of a telephone lens, ultra-wide angle lens, and main camera. The main and telephoto lens also includes Optical Image Stabilisation.
More details should follow in the coming weeks.
