Nubia Z20 comes to UK for £499: Three cameras, two screens, one great price
Nubia (a sub-brand of ZTE) has today announced that the rather extraordinary dual-screened Z20, launched earlier in the year, will be released in Europe – including the UK – as of today.
The phone offers a totally bezel and notch free display by integrating a second screen on the rear, thus eliminating the need for a separate front-facing selfie camera.
Instead, users can use the rear-mounted triple-camera configuration for taking photos of themselves and others.
It also means no moving parts for pop-up or sliding cameras.
The Z20 has a mirror-polished metal frame and curved glass, using Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for extra durability.
Extra speed
The phone is also equipped with Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, complete with 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 4,000mAh battery with 27W fast charging. SD855 Plus offers around 15% enhanced GPU performance over the original SD855 chip.
The front screen is a 6.42-inch Full HD+ screen (1080×2340 pixels), while the rear mounted display still measures an impressive 5.1-inch (and a 720×1520 pixel resolution).
Each OLED screen can be operated independently, allowing you to run a game on one side and another app on the other side.

On the camera side, there’s a 48-megapixel main camera with OIS, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera with 122 degree field-of-view, and a 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. There’s support too for 30x digital zoom, plus macro shots at a minimum distance of 25mm.
On the video side, the camera supports not only 4K but also 8K resolution, as well as HDR10 (10 bit colour) capture.
The Nubia Z20 is available in two colours; Diamond Black (below) and Twilight Blue (above).
