Ulefone has a rugged 4G phone with 5000mAh battery on sale for under £82!

Before we go any further, be aware I’m about to write about a phone you can only import from China – but wait until you see the price and specification!

With a promotional retail price of just US$99.99, this is an incredible deal for anyone wanting a phone that is more rugged than just about everything else you can buy these days.

If ordered online, shipping could take as little as two weeks.

Last month I wrote about why I wish more manufacturers would build phones like this, but the Armor X5 is priced such that, ironically, you’d probably be less upset if this phone broke than if you bought something else!

The Armor X5 follows in the footsteps of the X3 model, this time gaining the addition of 4G and a MediaTek 6763 octo-core chipset, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Running Android Pie out of the box, the phone also supports Google Pay and also comes with a dual 4G, dual VoLTE, SIM tray.

The screen is a 5.5-inch display with 18:9 ratio.

On the camera side, there’s a dual-camera setup comprising a 13-megapixel main sensor and 2-megapixel sub-camera. On the front is a simple 5-megapixel camera.

This phone isn’t going to win any photography awards, but there cannot be any illusion that this phone is trying to compete with more expensive models.

The Ulefone Armor X5 is all about solid protection, along with plenty of standby and usage time. Its 5,000mAh battery should keep this phone going for two or three days between charges easily, for moderate usage.

The Armor X5 is available in black, red or orange colour variants.
