The Moto 360 smartwatch is back – and it’s on sale this December

It has been five years since the last Moto 360 smartwatch was released, and now a new company has decided to bring it back.

eBuyNow has licensed the Motorola branding for a more modern take on Motorola’s iconic wearable, giving it a current Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset, and ability to make mobile payments using Google Play – as well as all the other key benefits of Google’s WearOS.

The water-resistant watch retains many similarities to the original watches, albeit without the flat tyre display of the original.

Variations of watch include steel grey with brown leather and black silicone straps, rose gold with brown leather and white silicone straps, or phantom black with black leather and black silicone straps.

The 1.2-inch circular display has a resolution of 390×390 pixels, while the watch itself has improved scratch resistance from an added PVD coating.

Charging from 0% to 100% takes approximately 60 minutes, with the watch having an average battery life of one day for normal functionality, and three further days in ‘time only’ mode.

The Moto 360 will be open to pre-ordering in mid November, with the watch shipping in December. The retail price is £339.99.
