Huawei P30 Lite gets a New Edition update with more RAM and storage; same price

Huawei has released an updated version of the P30 Lite, with the first ever 32-megapixel front-facing selfie camera for a P Lite series handset.

With the same Kirin 710 chipset, but more RAM and more storage, the P30 Lite New Edition will come at the same price as the original P30 Lite.

Shipping with Android 9 and full Google Mobile Services support, the £299 handset will be available to buy from January 15th 2020.

On the front is that upgraded selfie camera (with f/2.0 aperture) and a super selfie night mode that will allow selfies to be captured night or day. There are 8 specialised scene recognitions for perfect photos.

On the back is a triple camera configuration, with the main camera being a 48-megapixel snapper (f/1.8), alongside an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens (f/2.4) and a 2-megapixel bokeh lens for bokeh/portrait mode photography.

AI assisted stabilisation also gives the phone enhanced night and low-light image quality.

All of these photos and more can be enjoyed on the 6.15-inch FullView screen with a middle ‘dewdrop’ notch and 1080×2312 pixel resolution, with the front-facing camera also offering fast facial unlocking as an addition to the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The P30 Lite New Edition now comes with 6GB of RAM, 256GB storage and 18W fast charging for the 3,340mAh internal battery.

The original phone came with a choice of peacock blue and midnight blue, and for 2020 you can now get the phone in breathing crystal.
