Realme has teased a new phone coming with Qualcomm’s brand new flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC early next year.
Codenamed ‘Race’, the phone will be one of the first powered by the new chipset that now features a more efficient X60 5G modem (embedded on the chip) and enhanced AI functionality.
Realme is remaining tight lipped on any more details for now, but this announcement joins rival company Xiaomi in stating its intention to use the new chip in a new flagship model coming out in early 2021.
Realme was also one of the first phone manufacturers to release a Snapdragon 865 powered handset in 2020, the Realme X50 Pro 5G.
