Save the date: Honor 90 series coming to Europe on July 6th, with Honor 90 Lite coming sooner

New Honor smartphones are on their way to Europe, starting with the Honor 90 Lite on June 20th, and more at a launch event for the whole series in Paris on July 6th.

The first smartphone in the range has already been teased by Honor, with a release date of June 20th and an early bird discount offer that gets you the phone for just £224.99, down from its retail price of £249.99. With that price you also get a free pair of Earbuds X5s, or a Honor Band 7.

The Honor 90 Lite comes with a 100-megapixel primary camera, 4,500mAh battery with 22.5W wired-charging, 8GB RAM+256GB storage, and is just 7.48mm thick. All of the rest of the specs will be revealed nearer to its launch date, but if you’re already signed up to receive mailings from Honor (see link below) then you can expect to get more information ahead of time. It’s worth signing up if you’re interested in the other models too, as there are bound to be similar promotions for those who pre-order.

Two other possible handsets being launched at the July 6th event will be the Honor 90 and Honor 90 Pro. It’s not clear if both will come to Europe, but I certainly hope the Pro model will be released as it looks to offer an extremely high-quality experience at a more affordable mid-range price, compared to the flagship (and stunning) Honor Magic 5 Pro.

Equipped with a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1224×2700 pixel resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, 5,000mAh battery with 90W wired charging, the Honor 90 Pro also comes with an impressive camera setup:

  • 200-megapixel primary camera (f/1.9)
  • 32-megapixel 2.5x optical zoom telephoto camera (f/2.4)
  • 12-megapixel ultrawide camera (112 degree FoV)
  • 50-megapixel selfie camera, with 2-megapixel depth camera

The Honor 90 Pro comes in a choice of colours, and also includes Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and storage options ranging from 256GB to 512GB.

All eyes will be on Paris in July

The ‘standard’ Honor 90 has a slightly smaller 6.7-inch display, a Snapdragon 7 gen 1 SoC, a 5,000mAh battery with 66W wired-charging.

On the camera side, the Honor 90 gets:

  • 200-megapixel primary camera (f/1.9)
  • 12-megapixel ultrawide camera (112 degree FoV)
  • 2-megapixel depth camera
  • 50-megapixel ultrawide selfie camera

It too will be available in a range of colours, with the same connectivity and storage options.

Full specs and pricing will be announced in Paris on July 6th, with the event starting at 4pm UK time.

Update: Honor will be launching the Honor 90 only, alongside the already available Honor 90 Lite, at the event in Paris.
