Mobile coverage comes to the central section of the Elizabeth Line – Speed Test results on all networks
This is definitely one for the geeks amongst you – a seven minute video of speed testing on the Elizabeth Line and two other stations!
The testing was carried out at Farringdon and Tottenham Court Road stations, as well as testing out the now busiest London terminal station (Liverpool Street) and a short test at Moorgate for the Great Northern railway.
It’s worth noting that in the tunnel between Farringdon and Liverpool Street, all networks showed coverage but no data actually worked – so this will likely be added later. TfL has stated that the whole line will be covered by the end of Spring 2024, so expect more additions in the coming months.
Enjoy the video and below you can see a summary of the results. For some reason, O2 played up at Farringdon but it was probably only a temporary blip. Hopefully speeds will improve in the new year too, given they’re way down on the speeds I managed elsewhere on the Underground recently.
