The two new OnePlus smartphones are designed to appeal to different audiences, with the OnePlus 12 being the device for photographers, and the OnePlus 12R aimed more at the gamer – but each model still comes with an impressive set of features, including larger capacity batteries to keep users ‘in the game’ for longer.

The phones will go on sale starting from February 6th, with a limited-edition OnePlus 12R being launched later the same month.

OnePlus 12

At the heart of the OnePlus 12 is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon® 8 Gen 3 mobile platform, an ultra-intelligent chip promising top-tier performance and power efficiency with up to 30% improved CPU performance and a 25% enhancement in GPU performance. Empowered by the proprietary Trinity Engine and equipped with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 ROM, the OnePlus 12 can keep applications readily available in the background for 72 hours. The OnePlus 12 is also equipped with a new 2K 120Hz ProXDR display with stunning 4500nits peak brightness, and this display adopts 2160Hz PWM dimming when the brightness is under 70nits to be more eye comfort.

The OnePlus 12 introduces an industry-leading Dual Cryo-velocity VC Cooling System, featuring a 3D capillary dissipation structure and a dual VC design with the largest-ever surface area covering 9,140 mm², revolutionizing the flow of the coolant to significantly reduce overheating. Crafted using a unibody die-casting manufacturing process, the larger VC consistently absorbs heat from the smaller VC to accelerate the entire heat dissipation process, making the OnePlus 12 a versatile companion for activities such as marathon gaming sessions, pro-level video editing, and concurrent charging without risk of overheating.

With support for 100W SUPERVOOC Endurance Edition and a 5400mAh big battery, the OnePlus 12 reduces the time spent tethered to an outlet, allowing users to use the device more freely.  The OnePlus 12 takes only 26 minutes from 1% to 100% battery capacity courtesy of its 100W SUPERVOOC fast-charging function. In North America, the OnePlus 12 charges with 80W SUPERVOOC Endurance Edition that can take only 30 minutes from 1% to 100% battery capacity. The long-awaited 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging also makes its debut in the OnePlus 12, providing a reliable alternative for those who prefer a cable-free lifestyle.

In addition, the OnePlus 12 comes with the 4th Gen Hasselblad Camera for Mobile, featuring industry-first Sony’s LYT-808 wide angle sensor, 64MP 3x periscope telephoto camera, the latest RAW HDR algorithm, and Hasselblad portriat mode, which delivers a effortless pro-graded camera experience. The OnePlus 12 also boasts other flagship features such as 3D Spatial Audio, Aqua-touch, IR blaster, and USB 3.2 Gen 1 port.

OnePlus 12R

OnePlus 12R is a performance-led powerhouse which pairs fast and smooth software with cutting-edge hardware. It is the fourth OnePlus R series device and the first to launch outside of China and India, giving more users the chance to experience a phone with a single-minded focus on gaming, and features some of the best specifications ever seen on a OnePlus phone.

That includes its worlds-first LTPO 4.0 screen which features an intelligent dynamic refresh rate system that allows OnePlus 12R to switch anywhere between 1Hz and 120Hz refresh rates quicker and smarter than ever, saving battery life and giving users a smoother overall experience. It also reacts to the speed of a user’s swipe, meaning a slow flick at the screen might only see the refresh rate change to 60Hz, 72Hz or 90Hz, while a rapid scrolling motion will dial the device up to 120Hz.

Behind the screen sits the flagship Qualcomm® Snapdragon® 8 Gen 2 chip, an octa-core 4 nanometre tuned to give the absolute best performance possible, as well as up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. All of which is protected with the same Cryo-Velocity cooling system inside the OnePlus 12 and powered by the biggest battery ever installed in a OnePlus phone. Weighing in at 5,500mAh, the monster sized battery means hour after hour of uninterrupted monster-slaying. And when it does come time to charge, the 100W SUPERVOOC charging means OnePlus 12R will go from 1-100% in 26 minutes, getting users back in the game at double quick time.

Finally, OnePlus 12R is rounded out with a flagship camera system powered what is widely believed to be the most consistent, high performance sensor on the market, the 50-megapixel Sony IMX890. It also features a range of proprietary OnePlus algorithms designed to produce great results under any situation – just so long as you can pause your game and look up first.

OnePlus Buds 3

Guided by our Never Settle mantra, the Buds 3 aim to reset the baseline of mid-end TWS earbuds with their spectacular sound quality and smart user experience. “With their spectacular sound performance and AI-based noise cancellation, the Buds 3 represent the pinnacle of mid-range earbuds and our commitment to bringing users a latency-free and smooth listening experience,” said Kinder Liu, President and COO of OnePlus. “By balancing premium audio and accessibility, we are thrilled to offer tech-savvy explorers a new option for wireless audio that exceeds their expectations in every possible way.”

The OnePlus Buds 3’s exceptional audio experience begins with flagship sound quality powered by dual dynamic drivers and a state-of-the-art coaxial integrated design. By combining the power of a 10.4mm woofer with the precision of a 6mm tweeter, the Buds 3 deliver an ultra-wide 15Hz to 40KHz frequency response, offering commanding bass, exquisite treble, and soul-touching vocals. Thanks to the inclusion of the LHDC 5.0 Bluetooth codec, the buds have also been certified by JAS (Japan Audio Society) as a Hi-Res Audio Wireless device.

Offering up to 49dB of noise cancellation, Buds 3 has earned a TÜV Rheinland certification as a High Performance Noise Cancellation device. With built-in microphones and OnePlus’ in-house algorithms, Smart Scene Noise Cancellation 2.0 can automatically choose the most suitable mode for users to enjoy optimized sound based on their surroundings. Complementing this, Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation can automatically analyze a user’s ear canal and tailor the optimal noise cancellation effect for a custom, high-quality audio experience that puts an end to the need for manual adjustments.

With Active Noise Cancellation disabled, the OnePlus Buds 3 offer up to 10 hours of non-stop playback on a fully charged earbud, with up to 44 hours of total listening time available via the charging case. Fast charging capabilities provide up to 7 hours of playback with just a 10-minute charge. Continuing OnePlus’ modern elegant design philosophy, the Buds 3 are crafted with a metallic coating and matte finish for a sleek and streamlined design, available in Metallic Gray and Splendid Blue. The ergonomic design of Buds 3 is based on a database of over 2000 different ear shapes, making sure they remain snug and comfortable for every individual user. With each bud weighing just 4.8g, users can also enjoy a burden free experience and uninterrupted audio for even longer. Intuitive control over the OnePlus Buds 3 is also offered through a touch control area that can be used to adjust the volume by sliding for a truly smooth and effortless listening experience.
