Vodafone intros 25GB handset tariff with free calls home from Europe
Vodafone is now offering customers a whopping 25GB data allowance on new 12 and 24-month handset contracts, along with free calls from Europe back to the UK.
The new plan comes with 25GB of data, unlimited calls and unlimited texts, and the continued choice of one or two-years access to one of the following services: Now TV Entertainment, Spotify or Sky Sports Mobile TV.
You can find out more about each of these services here.
But the new addition is inclusive calls back to the UK from within Europe. You’ll still need to pay £3 a day for the standard EuroTraveller add-on however, if you want to be able to use your data and text allowance abroad.
Don’t forget that Vodafone also offers access to 4G networks in many countries too, such as Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Spain. You can get a full list of countries with 4G roaming here.
The new 25GB tariff, and other revised tariffs, are all available with immediate effect – just in time to buy a new Galaxy S6 or HTC One M9 or, of course, anything else that takes your fancy.
As yet, the 25GB tariff and the free European calls back home is not available to SIM only customers, but if that changes then I’ll be sure to let you know.

Shock! – no price hikes!
At the same time, Vodafone also announced this week that it is promising no price rises during your contract term.
It’s even going so far as to offer a £20 welcome bonus to anyone on O2 and EE that ports over to a pay monthly tariff.
Vodafone joins Three in making a pledge not to increase bills, which leaves O2 and EE to do the same.
Of course, the cynic in me wonders if the fact that the inflation figures for February this year was 0.0% might have something to do with it…
Roaming tips to keep safe
Finally, with the Easter break and many people also planning for their summer holiday abroad, Vodafone is giving customers some tips on how to protect their mobile and use data when away.
In case the worst happens and your phone is stolen abroad, Vodafone has published a hotline number to report the theft from any phone: +44 7836 191 191. Make a note of it (and I don’t mean on your phone!).
