When Huawei announced the new P40 series of phones last week, it predictably spent a lot of time talking about the new cameras. And the new camera tech has clearly paid off following the results of the latest DxOMark test results.
The previous joint winners, Oppo and Xiaomi, enjoyed a relatively short time in the number one position, but can bow out gracefully in the knowledge that they only fell to second place.
Frankly, any device in the top 5 or 10 is going to offer a highly decent camera experience, but in this case Huawei gained an unprecedented 4 point lead over the Oppo Find X2 Pro and Xiaomi’s Mi 10 Pro, with DxOMark especially impressed with the P40 Pro’s selfie quality.
You can read the full review on the DxOMark website and see each of the tests that were carried out.
I’m still waiting to get my P40 Pro to try out the camera for myself.
