Xiaomi, Qualcomm, an electric scooter and a jet suit…
Xiaomi published a crazy video today, and it’s totally worth a look.
Reminiscent of an old-school Top Gear challenge, Xiaomi included two of its own products – a Mi 10 smartphone (that’s where Qualcomm’s connection fits in, thanks to the flagship Snapdragon 865 5G chipset) and a Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 taking on a rather unconventional adversary.
The scooter rider is pitted against Richard Browning, the founder and chief test pilot of Gravity Industries, who is wearing a jet suit. As you do…

The purpose of the video? Well, according to Xiaomi it was to “test the endurance and power of the Mi 10 in an extreme shooting situation”.
That sounds a little tenuous to me, but the video is fun to watch and it’s a certainly an effective way to get some publicity for the phone.
