Realme ramping up a notch with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 gen 1 powered GT 2 Pro coming early 2022
As Qualcomm unveils its new chipsets in Hawaii right now, Realme has confirmed it will be one of the first to use the new flagship chip in a new smartphone incoming next year.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC is the successor to the 2021 Snapdragon 888 and 888+, but boasts some huge performance gains.
Likewise, the new Realme GT 2 Poo is expected to bring many other upgrades, if rumours circulating are to be believed – such as three high-quality cameras for wide, ultra-wide and telephoto photography.
The handset is also rumoured to have a huge Quad-HD display, incredibly fast charging and more, but still represent exceptional value for money compared to rivals.
It’s clearly too early to say much more, and hopefully we’ll see more information being drip-fed in the coming weeks, with the final rumour being that Realme may actually opt to announce the phone in China before Christmas.
Other manufacturers also intending to launch devices with the same Qualcomm chip include Motorola, OnePlus, Oppo, and Xiaomi.
