Huawei Mate 10 Pro: Photo Hot Picks

A lot of people quite rightly preach about how great the photos are on the Google Pixel 2 XL, but there have been many other issues to contend with.

The Huawei Mate 10 Pro, on the other hand, has been a top performer for me since I got it last October, with a range of features that makes the Google phone seem a little bland (and expensive).

The Mate 10 Pro has the unique AI functionality, incredible battery life, a fantastic display, good audio, blisteringly fast 4G speeds, optional connectivity to a monitor for a full desktop windowed environment, and a more affordable price tag.

Plus, amazing as the Pixel cameras are (thanks in part to awesome algorithms on Google’s native camera app), the photos you can get on the Mate 10 Pro are way up there – hence a virtually identical DxOMark camera rating.

The public gallery I created last year has had loads of fantastic photos added and I thought it would be nice to pick out some of my favourites.

There are some more I loved but were left out to keep this gallery to a manageable size, and more fantastic photos will no doubt be added after this goes live because the gallery remains open, and the phone is still young.

You can see from this randomised gallery that the camera performs well in a range of different weather and lighting conditions. And of course a little help from the contributors who posted their photos.

  • You can enjoy the full¬†Mate 10 Photo Gallery¬†here (and add your own if you have any of the Mate 10 models).
  • Check out the Christmas photo gallery here too, to see how colourful things can be (and also enjoy London at its finest).

And now to enjoy some great photography…
