OnePlus 8 Series Pop-Up Events to continue; Online

It was always a given there would be no fancy Pop-Up events for the OnePlus 8 series, but given the significance to OnePlus, they’re not being axed and will be held online instead.

OnePlus 8 pop-up event, 5pm BST April 14th

This will be great news for OnePlus fans who have repeatedly queued up to get their hands on the new phones before anyone else.

So, with everyone (hopefully) sitting at home to watch the launch, the pop-up event will kick off straight after, at 5pm BST on April 14th.

The online pop-up will allow fans to find out more information about the new phones, including the pricing and configuration options, but more importantly get orders in for delivery before the phones go on open sale.

Those who take part in the online pop-up will not only get their phone first (dispatched by courier on April 15th), but also get various OnePlus goodies thrown in too.

The special bundles will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

“The pop-up is an opportunity for us to engage with our community by creating a special experience around the latest launch. In the past, we have seen unwavering enthusiasm from our community for the pop-up events we have organised in cities like Paris, Helsinki, London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Rome, Milan, Madrid, Barcelona, Brussels and so on.

“As a digital first brand, we want to bring the same pop-up experience to our community, but at the comfort of their home, keeping in mind their safety and wellbeing. The online pop-up will allow community members to be among the first to own the OnePlus 8 Series and also share their experience with the world.”

Tuomas Lampen, Head of Strategy for OnePlus Europe

More detail of how the pop-up event will work will be announced during the online launch event, starting at 4pm BST.

I’ll be watching and live Tweeting the announcements as they’re made.
