Honor Magic 5 Pro available to pre-order in UK soon, priced at £949 – with £80 off for early birds!
The Magic 5 Pro can be pre-ordered from April 19th, with the phone on sale commencing April 28th.

Honor’s flagship smartphone is nearly here, and it packs an almighty punch in a number of areas! Not only is it equipped with Qualcomm’s top-end Snapdragon 8 gen 2 chipset, but it also includes a fantastic camera setup (at the time of printing, ranked number 2 on DXOMark), a huge 5,100mAh battery with fast charging, and a super-bright 6.81-inch best-on-class display with 2160Hz PWM dimming, and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits – absolutely insane!
The phone (available in green or black and with 12GB of RAM and 512GB storage) will be available to purchase from Honor’s own website, where early subscribers can get a fantastic £80 voucher to use against a purchase (bringing the price down to £869), as well. asThree, Amazon, Argos, Very, and Curry’s.
I’ve got one to test and have posted some photos taken with the retail-ready version of the phone. I will have a full review published later, as I never rush to publish a review – especially when the device was previously not running fully stable firmware.
Below you can see a summary of the key features, as written by Honor in its press release. You can also see more of the product from its original launch earlier this year.
Honor Magic 5 Pro Key Features
Camera
Super Low-Light camera
Magic5 Pro has significant improvements on Night imaging speed and imaging quality compared to Magic4 Pro, with Falcon Capture taking shots at speed even in low-light conditions. The Magic5 Pro in low-light conditions also still maintains it’s Falcon Capture capability, with the ability to take 3 low-light images in the time it would take competitors to take 1.
Falcon Capture
HONOR’s Falcon Capture Algorithm features hardware-level subject detection for accurate focusing and millisecond-level event response for clear shots. With the upgraded image cache, capture every moment with ease. The camera also supports protagonist’s focus lock, allowing for more accurate focusing.
This has seen Start-up camera speed increase by 102%, Focus speed increase by 245%, Shutter reaction increase by 147% and Imaging speed increase by 145% compared to the Magic4 Pro released a year prior.
AI-motion sensing
The HONOR Magic5 Pro boasts AI Motion Sensing Capture, which is capable of automatically detecting the highest point of a jump or move and capturing the frame in ultra-high definition.
